Penguins are birds and are
just like other birds in many ways:
- they have two legs and two wings - they have beaks and no teeth - their bodies are covered with feathers - they hatch from eggs - they are fed by their parents when they are very young; But penguins are different from most birds because: - they do not fly, they swim - their bones are not hollow - their feathers are more dense (thick and close together) and make a waterproof covering for their bodies - they walk upright |
